Dr. Leena Palomo
Short Bio
Dr. Leena Palomo is a tenured professor, Vice-President of the American Board of Periodontology, and immediate past chair and program director of the Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry. She is not only a board-certified periodontist, but also a busy clinician. Dr. Palomo’s contributions to the profession have been recognized through medical and dental research awards, national and international presentations, and numerous peer-reviewed publications; her clinical work is recognized by patients in her private practice. She has served as chair of the American Academy of Periodontology Task Force on education, and chair of the American Academy of Periodontology Education Committee which leads technologic implementation across specialties for the increasingly challenging cases that a growing global middle class is bringing not only to private practice but also to pedagogy.
