Last updated: 25 October 2026
By accessing or using the Saudi Orthodontic Society (SOS) website or mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must refrain from accessing or using the SOS digital services. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and conference participants who access the website or the conference mobile application.
Access to the conference mobile application is limited to registered participants of SOS conferences and events whose registration is confirmed and paid in full. The Society reserves the right to verify registration status at any time and to restrict or revoke access where eligibility requirements are not met. Certain areas of the website remain publicly accessible; features designated for conference participants — such as the scientific program, session materials, and event notifications — are available only to users holding a valid registration. Discounted registration categories (including SOS members, residents, and students) remain subject to the eligibility criteria set out in the Registration and Refund Policy.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities carried out under your account. You agree to notify SOS promptly at support@sos.sa of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SOS shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials. Accounts are personal and may not be shared with, or transferred to, any other individual.
You agree to use SOS digital services only for lawful, professional, and ethical purposes. You must not:
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any harmful or malicious software or content
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with SOS
• Use the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the platform, other users’ accounts, or SOS systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or integrity of the website or application
• Collect, scrape, or harvest data from the platform by automated means without prior written consent
• Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes the rights of others
All content available through the SOS website and mobile app — including text, graphics, logos, scientific materials, and software — is the property of SOS or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal, professional, and non-commercial purposes only. No content may be reproduced, distributed, modified, or publicly displayed without the prior written consent of SOS, except as permitted by applicable law. The SOS name and logo may not be used without the Society’s prior written approval.
Participants may contribute content such as profile details or discussion inputs through the platform. Users retain ownership of the content they submit, and by submitting it grant SOS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content for the purposes of operating and improving its services. Users warrant that their contributions do not infringe the rights of any third party and comply with these Terms. SOS reserves the right to review, moderate, or remove any user-generated content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
All personal data collected through registration or platform usage shall be processed in accordance with the SOS Privacy Policy and the applicable laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). By using the SOS digital services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
By registering for SOS events through the website or app, you agree to comply with the terms applicable to the relevant event, including the Registration and Refund Policy, the Society’s Code of Conduct, and any event-specific instructions issued by the organizers. Where event-specific terms conflict with these Terms, the event-specific terms shall prevail in respect of that event.
SOS may modify or update its platforms periodically or suspend access for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. While the Society strives to keep its digital services available and up to date, it does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and shall not be liable, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for any temporary unavailability of the website or application. Users are encouraged to install application updates promptly to maintain security and functionality.
SOS reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate access to its digital services, in whole or in part, for any user who breaches these Terms, misuses the platform, or whose conduct poses a risk to the security or integrity of the services or other users. Access to participant-only features is tied to a valid conference registration and may be withdrawn where the registration is cancelled in accordance with the Registration and Refund Policy, or retired after the conclusion of the event. Provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law — shall remain in effect.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOS disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, its website or mobile application, including loss of data, loss of opportunity, or damage resulting from third-party content or services. The SOS digital services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the applicable laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
SOS may update these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes. The current version, together with its effective date, will be published on the SOS website and mobile application. Continued use of the digital services after the publication of amended Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Society’s official channels.
